Clarion Call Guild Charter

Clarion Call Guild is, first and foremost, a progression raiding guild. Secondarily, it exists to create a broad-based community through the guild itself. The following charter reflects our standards and our rules.

Guild Ranks

The guild has four formal ranks. Guild Leader, Guild Officer (Council and Tribunal), Raider and Member. Applicants will be placed in the Initiates rank until their trail period is over. The trial period varies depending on if they have applied to be a member or raider.

Membership

  • Members are expected to adhere to a zero-drama policy both inside and outside the guild. This includes responding to or creating drama or PvP-related forum posts on any public web community as well as in game chat channels.
  • Members are expected to be actively improving their characters.
  • Members are expected never to use any clear exploits or hacks.
  • No uncomfortable discussions/language in guild chat or vent. This includes racist comments/jokes, use of word "rape" or "faggot". Clarion Call is a guild of some diverse people and every one of them has the right to be in an environment that does not make them feel uncomfortable.

Raider (Core Team)

The core teams are defined in the RAID tab. To learn more about the roster, please take a look at the RAIDS tab.

To secure a spot on any core team, you must follow all guidelines set forth for Membership as well as the guidelines below.

  • You must be an active raider, even if it's just to be on stand by.
  • Raiders must be available and at the meeting area at scheduled raid times on time for they have signed up for. Invites goes out 15m to 30m before schedule raid times. All raiders should be in the instance and ready to go at the set time.
  • Raiders are expected to have appropriate talent distribution for their given roles.
  • Raiders are expected to be up-to-date on all guild strategy on our guild forums. Questions, suggestions or ideas are to be brought up on the forums prior to raids.
  • Raiders are expected to clearly articulate any issues they see within or outside the guild via our forums.
  • Raiders must be actively involved in our recruitment system, both in-game and via our forums.
  • Raiders must be comfortable and able to use ventrilo. Having the ability to talk in vent is a must even if not the talkative type.
  • Raiders must be have the required raiding mods installed. (See Required Raiding Mods below)
  • Raiders must be able to provide consumables and gold for repairs through periods of heavy progression. (Discounted flasks and feasts are usually available during the raid)
  • Raiders must STAY for the full run. You are required to stay from the beginning to the end of the scheduled time. Sometimes we may go later than the given end time but it will be optional if you wish to keep moving with the team.
  • Raiders must ATTEND the days schedule for the team you are on. Farming Days and Clean Up days are optional however.
  • If you can not attend a progression night, going to be late or can't stay for the whole raid then you must notify us ahead of time. Please use the Raid Attendance Notifications or let and officer know. Fail to notify us about absense or lateness will result as a no show.
  • Raider are expected to participate in farming runs to help stock the bank or donate to the guild bank consistantly.
  • Raiders who fail to meet basic attendance or raid requirements will be demoted to member status.
All core team members are eligible for free enchanted on items that dropped THAT night for them as well as discounted flasks (As long as we have mats in stock).

A strict attendance record for Core Team is important and can affect your spot as a member. In saying so, all Core Team Schedules are added to the in-game calendar every week. All core team line up raiders are ADDED to the list. Please be sure to ACCEPT to let us know if you can make it that day. If not, we'll fill your spot or you will be considered as a no show.

The line up is based on confirmation from core members that have accepted to show on a scheduled day on the in-game calendar and based on possible team make up. We will do our best to rotate core team members as best as possible for each raid.

In-Raid Conduct

  • Members must not AFK regularly, arrive late, leave early, or otherwise hinder smooth raiding without notification. Any AFK must be announced clearly in the appropriate channel.
  • Members must be prepared with everything necessary for top performance.
  • Chat and ventrilo channels are to be kept clear at all times during raids. Ventrilo is to be used strictly by players who have a clear and necessary statement.
  • Talking back to the guild leader, guild officer, or raid leader is not allowed.
  • Members should be focused during the raid and listen to instructions. If you fail the team because you were not listening, you will be removed from the raid and your position in the guild revaluated.

Required Raiding Mods

  1. A Threat Meter. We prefer Omen but you can also use KTM. You can even use both.
  2. Big Wigs or Deadly Boss Mods. We prefer you use Deadly Boss Mods or both.
  3. If you can decurse, clease, or dispell, you need either Smart Debuff or Decursive.
  4. If you are a paladin, you are required to have PallyPower.
  5. EPGPLootMaster: A mod helps tremendously with looting. It's pretty and intuitive. If you do not have this mod, you will not be able to bid on loot.
An optional mod is the EPGP Mod. This is a mod that displays the EPGP standings for the whole guild.

Schedule

Our progression schedule is Tuesday-Thursday 4:30pt/7:30et until 7:30pt/11:30et. Tuesdays are farming bosses day on the current progression instance we are working on. This day we may mix up more back up raiders to learn and experience the instance.

Fridays and Saturdays we usually run optional raids for farming or alternate toons. Sundays and Mondays are usually free days but many times maybe filled with some raiding and events on the fly.

Recruitment

New Applicants applying for Member status are admitted based on friendships with current raiders. New applicants as Members are placed in Initiates status for at least one full week.

New Applicants applying for Raider (Core Team) will be placed in Evaluation status and will judged over a one month period for performance and attitude. At the end of this period, the Applicant will be evaluated for a position as a raider (core team.) To be a core team member, you must be approved by ALL officers with a unanimous vote.

If you're a solid player with a good attitude, the best thing you can do is not worry yourself too much.

Clarion Call EPGP System

We use the EPGP loot system for raiding and distributing loot. This is a much more fair system than DKP and simple RTU. It is created to reward those the put effort into raiding and still allow new raiders as well as the back up raiders to still get some chances at loot.

Earning EP

Farming instance that uses RTU earns you 50ep/15minutes of attendance. No bonus awards are given.

If you are on standby, you will earn 35% of the any attendance/boss kill EP that is being awarded (No bonus will be awarded for people on stand by). Once any EP award has been given, you must put yourself back on the stand by list.
